Charlotte Balogh began her rowing career when her father, Adam Balogh, placed her on an erg at age nine. She started rowing competitively in high school with Community Rowing, Inc. in Boston and was later recruited to row at Syracuse University. Balogh moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in the television and film industry, and in 2018, she started coaching at RowLA. RowLA is a rowing program created to empower young women from diverse communities across Los Angeles through intensive rowing activities, community building, and college counseling. When she's not on the water, Balogh is an author, screenwriter, and comic book writer. Her dream is to create a television show about a girls' rowing team in Boston and to hire her dad as the on-set rowing consultant. Her first traditionally published book, Kill the Lax Bro, is scheduled for release in summer 2025 from Delacorte Press.
