Volunteer Opportunities

Homework helpers, tutors and mentors

We are looking for tutors and homework helpers to work with the girls 2 hours each Saturday from 11:00am -1:00pm in Marina Del Rey. Tutors must be able to commit to a minimum of two (2) Saturdays (approximately 4 hours) per month. Mentors are also needed for homework follow-up, mentoring good study habits and general academic guidance.

Coaches needed for erg workouts, fitness training and on the water

Our girls workout a minimum of two days on land, using ergs, weights, and running for fitness. If you have experience on the erg or in fitness training, we need you!
If you are a masters rower or you rowed in college, we could use your experience. RowLA is on the water a minimum of two days a week and has a growing need for rowing coaches to assist the girls.

Career mentors and visiting colleges

We are interested in exposing our young ladies to different career paths and opportunities, as they make their way to college. We are looking for volunteers that are working professionals or have a unique career who are interested in sharing their careers and workplace for an afternoon or morning, with a bright young mind. Also, if you are interested in sharing or touring your Alma Mater with RowLA, we would love it!
